Our Mexican Food. Locally Sourced in Toledo, Then Prepared by Our Chefs
Our meat is purchased from Sysco Foods, Gordon’s Food Service and from Tank’s-Tyler Meats located in Elmore, Ohio.
We prepare all our many meat products in house. On an average week, we prepare 400 lbs of Chicken, 140 lbs of Stew Meat and 300 lbs of Ground Beef within our various recipes.
We source our Yellow American and White Monterrey Jack cheese from SOFO Foods, a local business in Toledo.
We go through approximately 250 lbs of Monterrey Jack cheese and 600 lbs of American cheese each week.
We provide our guests with 100 gallons Salsa each week. Made fresh for our family of restaurants by Hirzel Canning Company of Toledo.
We go through 100 cases of fresh made chips weekly, supplied from the Mexican Tortilla company La Perla of Toledo
We go through 220 lbs of Pinto Beans per week (refried beans) made in-house and fresh for you.
We go through 20 cases of fresh Avocado per week (guacamole) made in-house and fresh for you.
We fry all our own shells including taco, tostada, taco salad bowls and nacho chips

Our favorite dish is the deluxe tostada with either the ground beef or Cajun chicken, make sure you tell them to melt the cheese! Another favorite is the tilapia taco so hoping they can bring that back again! Kick butt margaritas!

Ventura’s is a northwestern Ohio jewel. The Mexican food is awesome, the service with Marilyn was outstanding, and the Cajun chicken nachos were the best in the world! Another secret to this place is their ribs. Their ribs are so tender and delicious, they could easily win awards. If you haven’t tried them…you should.

Fresh made salsa, fresh made refried beans and the Margaritas are the BOMB. (I asked about all of it!). Toledo has a bunch of Mexican restaurants. For me, this was the absolute best!

Other restaurants aren’t even considered in most cases. Strongest margaritas I’ve found east of Arizona. Most of the food is really good. Amazing burgers and their ribs are right up there with the best in town. It’s tex mex but really good tex mex.
